Globe President’s Message

It’s no secret that being an employee of a digital company such as Globe, entails many intense hours at work – brainstorming, innovating, and troubleshooting, among many other things that the Ka-Globe is known to master in the day-to-day. Being thoroughly engaged 365 days a year is an imperative for us, as the nature of our industry requires a level of dynamism and vigor to maintain leadership, and pull away even further from competition.

A big part of keeping this energy alive is how we designed our workplace. We want our Ka-Globe to be excited about going to work, and be in an environment that they’re proud to be in. We equipped our workplace with amenities that our Ka-Globe will enjoy, so they will also appreciate the valuable time they spend in our offices.

We share the Ayala Group’s culture of espousing work-life balance. We encourage our Ka-Globe to take much-needed breaks to help them recharge. We make sure that they are given the opportunity to pursue their interests.

I am a big advocate of following one’s passion wherever it takes one. Whether at work or for leisure, being in a place that nurtures one’s passion keeps people inspired and energized.

Personally, I love food and wine and this is the reason why Tuscany holds a place in our family’s heart. We have collected many wonderful memories from our annual summer trips to Tuscany, and are always looking forward to making more, especially now that Parker, my first grandchild, is able to travel with us.

As much as these breaks are treasured, I also encourage everyday, conscientious routines for health and wellness. For me, I have made a promise to stick to a workout schedule four days a week – a habit that I enforce strongly. With the nature of our work, taking care of ourselves requires a sense of purposiveness so that work need not get in the way. It helps that I thoroughly enjoy working out, and of course, an energizing playlist while I do my routine only makes it more enjoyable.

To all Ka-Globe and Ayala Group employees, I encourage you to find time to do the things you love and are passionate about. While we are known to be dedicated hard workers, we have to find the right balance between work and play to keep our energy up while preventing burnout. When we exert effort for self-care, everything else will follow.
