I. WeAreAyala (WAA)
WeAreAyala (WAA) is a unified platform which consolidates existing and prospective programs and services of the Ayala Corporation (AC) and its affiliates (the Ayala Group of Companies [AGC]) intended to enhance and protect your welfare, safety, and security as an employee of AGC.
The WeAreAyala application is a Free application. This SERVICE is provided by at no cost and is intended for use as is by AGC employees.
The objectives of this platform are to:
- Provide a central, internal hub for all programs and services for all employees across all AC subsidiaries including, among others, group-wide communications and modes of community interaction, emergency assistance services and internal human resource welfare programs;
- Address the growing needs of AGC-Member Employees by developing programs, services and synergies; and
- Ensure timely, convenient, efficient and secure access to such programs and services.
II. Privacy Statement
The Ayala Corporation (AC) and its affiliates (the Ayala Group of Companies [AGC]) value an individuals right to privacy. As such, we ensure that all personal data we collect, process and store about our employees through the WAA platform are protected at all times and done so in accordance with applicable data privacy laws. Likewise, we make it a point to inform our employees from whom we collect such data of our processing activities and to respect and enforce their rights as data subjects.
III. Scope and Method of Personal Data Collection and Processing
Information we receive from you: During the registration process into the WAA platform, we collect and process personal data directly from you such as your First and Last Name, Nickname, Company, and Ayala-issued Electronic Mail Address.
Information we collect while you use the WAA platform: The WAA platform uses technology that allows us to collect certain technical information such as but not limited to your devices Mobile Device ID (MDI), the type of mobile device, the version of the operating system of your mobile device, the time and date of use, and the time spent on the sites and pages visited on the Platform.
This information is collected to ensure security in access and help us improve and personalize your user experience. We also collect any information/data (including user location data), media and/or other content you upload to the WAA platform using your device.
We may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, CAMERA. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Cookies: Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory. The WAA platform may use cookies to help provide you with a better, faster and safer experience when you use the site. Cookies are stored in the memory of your device when you visit the Platform. This Service does not use these cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
IV. Use of Information
We use the data we collect from you for the following purposes:
- To help us continuously verify your identity as an AGC-Member Employee while using the platforms features, to contact you about any matter, including updates, features and/or services concerning the platform, and to create your WAA profile which serves as your virtual presence and passport should you choose to avail any of the programs and services offered on the platform;
- To prevent, detect and investigate potentially prohibited or illegal activities, including fraud, and enforcing our terms; and
- To ensure security in access, improve response time, and personalize your user experience.
V. Disclosure of Information
Third-party service providers may be provided access to your personal data from time to time to perform services on our behalf or to assist us with the provision of services specifically in terms of software operation and maintenance and data storage. We understand that under such arrangements, we remain responsible over your personal data. Nevertheless, we will ensure that any such third-party service providers are contractually obligated to comply with the requirements of applicable privacy laws and regulations.
Apart from the foregoing, we will not disclose any of your personal data to any third party without your permission unless we are compelled or required to do so by applicable law, rules or regulations, or by order of a court of competent jurisdiction or a regulatory agency.
VI. Personal Data Retention and Disposal
Your personal data will be retained only for as long as is necessary for the fulfillment of the declared, specified, and legitimate purposes provided above, or when the processing is relevant to such purposes, strictly in accordance with our records retention policy. After which, your personal data shall be disposed or discarded in a secure manner that would prevent further processing, unauthorized access, or disclosure to any other party or the public, or prejudice your interests.

Although no system or technology is completely infallible, we have endeavored to take appropriate measures to prevent risks of unauthorized access to your personal data when using the WAA platform. This includes implementation of appropriate physical, technical and organizational measures in compliance with the requirements of applicable privacy laws and regulations.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
IX. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services; or
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.
X. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions

- The Right to be Informed We honor your right to be informed of the purposes, scope and methods of personal data processing involved in your registration into and use of the WAA platform. Please note that we are constantly trying to improve and evolve the capabilities of the WAA platform to include a wider range of programs and services. This could involve changes to the purpose, scope and method of personal data collection and processing relative to your use of the platform. To this extent, we shall endeavor to inform you of any such changes and, when necessary, ask you to review and accept supplemental terms covering new programs and services.
- The Right to Object – You have the right to object to the further processing and disclosure of your personal data at any time. You shall be informed of any changes to these Terms and Conditions and your consent obtained thereto, when appropriate.
- The Right to Withdraw Consent Anytime– You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, this may affect your membership to the WAA platform.
- The Right to Access, Erasure and/or Blocking – You have the right to request for a copy of any of your personal data processed under these Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, you have the right to have it corrected if you think it is inaccurate or incomplete, subject to the submission of sufficient proof. You have the right to suspend, withdraw or order the blocking, removal or destruction of your personal data should you: (a) discover that it is incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, used for an unauthorized purpose, no longer necessary for the abovementioned purposes; (b) withdraw your consent thereto; or, (c) discover violations of your right as a data subject.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
